The Research Center for Brain Communication (BrainCom) was established in 2012 within our university. BrainCom brings together researchers in neuroscience, psychology, informatics, and related disciplines from both within and outside the university, fostering collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
Our center conducts cutting-edge research under three core themes: Understanding the Brain, Controlling the Brain, and Creating the Brain. In addition to advancing fundamental neuroscience, we aim to establish a new academic field—Brain Communication—by integrating approaches such as neuromodulation and artificial intelligence.
BrainCom also manages and operates a 3-Tesla MRI scanner as a shared research facility, supporting a wide range of collaborative projects across the university.
Through contributions to both undergraduate and graduate education, we are committed to creating an academic environment that is deeply rooted in the local community while remaining open to the world. We strive to nurture the next generation of researchers and professionals in this exciting and rapidly evolving field.
